Billy Goats Cookies

cup butter or margarine
1/2
tsp. baking soda
1
cup brown sugar (packed)
1
8-oz. package chopped dates
2
eggs
1
cup shredded coconut
1
tsp. vanilla
1
cup crisped rice cereal
2
cups flour
1
cup coarsely chopped Wheat Nuts
Cream butter or margarine and brown sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour and soda. Add dates, coconut, crisped rice cereal and Wheat Nuts. Drop by teaspoonsful onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
