English Toffee Bars

cup butter or margarine
1
tsp. cinnamon
1
cup sugar

7-oz. jar Wheat Nuts, (coarsely chopped)
2
cups flour

egg, separated
Cream together butter or margarine and sugar. Stir in egg yolk. Add flour and cinnamon and mix until all ingredients are well blended. Spread into an ungreased 10"x15" pan. (Mixture will be stiff.)
Beat egg white until foamy. Spread over crust. Sprinkle Wheat Nuts evenly over top of egg white and press firmly into crust. Bake at 275 degrees for 1 hour. Cut into 1 1/2 inch squares while still warm.
